1. Language Arts- Currently we are working on how to grammatically use dialogue.  We will be taking our dialogue knowledge and using this with student research to write biography papers.  We also just finished writing an opinion piece that was submitted to the Grand Rapids Press.  Cameron Snoap’s editorial was printed in the Sunday paper.  Rebecca Chadwick’s opinion paper was also selected and hopefully will be published soon!  Congratulations to both students for a job well done!

2. Math – We are working on two and three step story problems and fractions of a group this week.  The students will have a math quiz on Thursday. Next week we will cover geometric solids, and probability.

3. Social Studies – The social studies explorers test will be this Friday!  A study guide is coming home and should be in your student’s agenda today (Tuesday).  Our next chapter will cover the Michigan frontier.  Some important highlights in this chapter will be the War of 1812, Michigan becoming a state, explorers traveling West, and life on the frontier.

4.Science – During science class the students are learning about light, heat and energy.
